Description
A sibling cask from the same Cadenhead's 175th Anniversary celebration of 2017, this 1992 Cooley single malt spent 25 years in ex-bourbon wood before 186 bottles were drawn for the Scottish market, an Irish guest of honour at a very Scottish birthday party.
Bottled at its natural 54.8%, it leads with husky cereal and dry oak over the fruit and honey of the Cooley house style, the extra strength giving the old malt real grip. Cooley double distills in the Scottish manner, which is perhaps why its long aged casks sit so comfortably alongside Cadenhead's Scotch stock, and why this one was sent home to Scotland to be judged.
