Description

Chichibu Single Cask #10231 is a 6 Years Old expression distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2024 for an event release. The spirit comes from Chichibu in Saitama, the Venture Whisky site founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008 that has established itself as one of Japan's most closely followed craft producers.

At six years from an Ex-Bourbon barrel, the whisky sits at the younger end of the distillery's single cask releases. Ex-Bourbon wood at Chichibu typically delivers vanilla, fresh fruit and a clean cereal sweetness that mirrors the vibrant new make character.
