On The Way is Chichibu's signature global cask strength release, assembled from a selection of Ex-Bourbon casks and bottled without dilution to give a direct reading of the distillery's Saitama malt at each particular moment. The 2024 expression is a NAS release at 54.5%, targeting the global market.

The recorded flavour profile is generous and characteristic: malt extract and honey at the core, fresh fruit, cooked mash and a yeasty warmth that speaks clearly to the distillery's fermentation character. Chichibu's new make is known for its expressive, grain-led sweetness, and this profile captures that directly. The cooked mash and yeasty notes are typical of active Ex-Bourbon interaction with a relatively young spirit, giving depth without requiring long ageing.
