The 2020 Chichibu London Edition comes from the Saitama distillery Venture Whisky has run since 2008, bottled at 53.5% cask strength for the European market as part of the distillery's ongoing annual series of market-specific releases. Like the others in the programme, it draws on Ex-Bourbon maturation.

The 2020 release's recorded profile is particularly varied: rubbery and yeasty base notes, citrus brightness, fresh fruit, a leafy green quality and solvent edges. This breadth of character is not uncommon in young cask strength Chichibu, where the new make's energetic spirit can pull in different directions before the wood fully integrates. The 2020 edition is one of the more complex in the series by its own data.
