The Intergalactic Series is an event only single-cask line from Chichibu, Venture Whisky's distillery in Saitama founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008. Edition 4 draws from a single Ex-Bourbon cask distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2020 after eight years of maturation, making it one of several numbered editions released at whisky festivals.
Eight years in Ex-Bourbon wood delivers vanilla, coconut and fresh orchard fruit, the signature profile of the house at this stage of maturity. At 63% from a single cask, the spirit is bold and unfiltered, with the event-format release preserving individual cask character without blending or dilution. The Intergalactic Series concept allows collectors to track distinct casks from the same vintage across different editions.
