Description

The Intergalactic Series Edition 3 is a single-cask event bottling from Chichibu, Venture Whisky's Saitama distillery founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008. Distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2020, it draws from an Ex-Bourbon cask at eight years old and was released to whisky event attendees at cask strength, forming part of the numbered series that tracks individual casks from the same vintage across multiple event releases.

Eight years in Ex-Bourbon wood builds vanilla, orchard fruit and toasted cereal character typical of the house at this stage of maturity. At 63% the spirit is full, rich and direct, with the single-cask provenance ensuring individual barrel character is captured without blending. Edition 3 sits alongside Editions 1 and 4 from the same vintage and cask type, allowing a comparative view of how individual barrels from 2012 developed.
