Cask #12508 was distilled at Chichibu in Saitama in 2015 and selected by La Maison du Whisky for bottling in 2023 at 62.8% after eight years in Ex-Bourbon wood, adding to the French specialist's long series of Chichibu single cask releases for the French market.

Eight years in bourbon wood gives this 2015 single cask a level of maturity and integration that suits La Maison du Whisky's typically discerning selection criteria: fresh apple and vanilla from the American oak are well-merged with Chichibu's fruit-forward new make, and the finish carries a warm cereal and baking spice quality from the wood. At 62.8% it is full and concentrated, a considered representation of what Chichibu's 2015 vintage achieves after extended Ex-Bourbon maturation.
