Cask #4660 was distilled at Chichibu in Saitama in 2015, spent seven years in Ex-Bourbon wood and was bottled in 2022 at 63.9% by La Maison du Whisky for the French market. As one of the French retailer's recurring Chichibu single cask selections, it fits into a well-established programme of Japanese whisky releases for a French specialist audience.

Seven years in a bourbon barrel from the 2015 vintage shows Chichibu's new make at a stage between youthful vibrancy and the fuller integration of the eight and nine-year releases: fresh apple and pear remain prominent, the vanilla of American oak is present but not yet dominant, and the 63.9% strength gives the whisky a decisive and concentrated character. A considered selection for the French market.
