Canella’s LIDO Rosé is a single-vintage Prosecco DOC, a pink blend of Glera with a share of Pinot Nero for colour. It is Brut and dry, with fresh strawberry and red-currant fruit over a soft, lively mousse.

Description
This is the rosé expression in Canella's LIDO range, made under the Prosecco DOC rules that since 2020 allow a still Pinot Nero base wine to be blended with Glera and refermented pink. Casa Vinicola Canella uses the Charmat method, with the second fermentation in tank to hold on to the bright red fruit and floral tone. The Brut dosage keeps it dry, so the wine stays fresh rather than sweet.
The colour is a pale coral pink with a fine, persistent bead. The nose leads with strawberry and raspberry, backed by red currant and a light floral note. On the palate it is light bodied and crisp, with red-berry fruit, gentle acidity and a clean, dry close. Serve chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a tulip glass as an aperitif, or with charcuterie, roast chicken and lighter pork dishes.
