Description
This is the pink member of Bottega's STAR line, made to the Prosecco DOC rosé standard that adds Pinot Nero to the Glera base. Bottega refermenting in pressurised tank by the Charmat method suits the wine, keeping the red fruit and floral aromatics fresh rather than building bready complexity. The Brut dosage keeps it dry and food friendly.
The colour is a bright pale pink with a fine, persistent bead. The nose leads with strawberry and raspberry, backed by red currant and a light floral tone. The palate is crisp and light bodied, with clean red-berry fruit and gentle acidity carrying through to a dry close. Serve chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a tulip glass as an aperitif, or with charcuterie, roast poultry and lighter pork.
