Description
GOLD is Bottega's flagship Prosecco, a millesimato made from Glera under the Prosecco DOC and presented in the gold-sprayed bottle that made the brand recognisable. It is produced by the Charmat method, with the second fermentation held in pressurised tank so the grape's fresh, floral aromatics stay intact. The Brut dosage keeps the wine dry and clean.
The colour is pale straw with a fine, persistent bead. The nose offers green apple, pear and white peach, lifted by white flowers and a light almond note. The palate is crisp and light bodied, with fresh citrus acidity and a soft, dry finish. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a tulip glass as an aperitif, or with shellfish, white fish and light starters.
