Description
Bottega farms in the hills above Refrontolo in the Veneto, and its Rose Gold spumante is a rosé made by drawing colour and red fruit from Pinot Nero blended with the region's Glera through a careful rosé vinification. The wine is produced by the tank method, which keeps the delicate red fruit and floral aromatics fresh and gives a fine, persistent perlage that underlines its vivacity. A Brut dosage keeps the finish dry against the natural fruit, and the eye catching pink bottle is part of the appeal.
The colour is a delicate pink with a lively bead. The nose is intense and complex, floral and fruity with redcurrant and wild berries, and the palate is soft and well structured with balanced acidity and a long, clean finish. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a tulip glass. It works as an aperitif and pairs with vegetarian dishes, white meat and lighter fish, the small bottle making it an easy single serve.
