Description
Bottega source this Prosecco Superiore from the steep hills of Valdobbiadene in the province of Treviso, the top DOCG tier of the Prosecco zone, where the Glera grape reaches its finest expression. The grapes are grown by traditional methods that hold their quality and character. The wine takes its fizz from a second fermentation in pressurised tank by the Charmat method, which keeps the primary fruit bright and builds a fine perlage. At 10 to 14 grams of residual sugar it sits in the Extra Dry band, just off dry with a rounded fruit.
The wine is straw yellow with a fine bead. The nose is refined and fruity, with apple, peach and lemon. The palate is soft and harmonious, elegant and lively with a balanced acidity, closing long and gently fruity. Serve well chilled at 5 to 7 degrees in a tulip glass. A fine aperitif that suits light starters, risotto, pizza and lighter fish.
