Description
This Il Vino dei Poeti bottling comes from Conegliano, one of the most respected corners of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG, and is made by Bottega in the Veneto. It is a Millesimato Prosecco Superiore drawn from the 2025 vintage, so the harvest character shows clearly. The grape is Glera, and the wine is made in the tank method with second fermentation in pressurised tanks, which preserves the fresh orchard and floral aromatics and gives the fine perlage. Finished Extra Dry, it carries a little more roundness than a Brut, the gentle sweetness balanced by lively acidity.
The colour is pale straw with a fine, persistent bead. The nose is fresh, with pear, green apple and white flowers over delicate citrus. The palate is elegant and fruity, a harmonious sweetness set against bright acidity, closing soft, fresh and long. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a white wine glass or flute. It makes a versatile aperitif and pairs with antipasti, light starters, seafood, fish and vegetarian dishes.
