Bottega GOLD is the eye catching metallic gold bottle in the range, a Prosecco DOC Brut made from carefully selected Glera. The sparkle comes from the Charmat method, the tank second fermentation that preserves Glera's fresh fruit and flowers and gives a fine, lively perlage rather than the toasty character of a bottle fermented wine. The wine is finished at a dry Brut dosage that suits its crisp, aperitif style, and the gold bottle has made it a fixture at celebrations.
The colour is a straw yellow with a fine bead. Apple, pear and citrus lead the nose, with sage, acacia and floral notes adding freshness, and the palate is soft and harmonious with balanced acidity and a long, persistent finish.
