Description
Bedin is a family winery in Cornuda, in the Treviso part of the Veneto, and this bottling is a Vino Frizzante rather than a fully sparkling Prosecco Spumante. The grapes are Glera from selected vineyards in the region, matured in stainless steel to hold the variety's fresh, primary fruit and floral character. As a frizzante it carries a lighter, softer pressure than a Spumante, giving a gentle, refreshing bead. Finished Brut, it stays dry and elegant, pitched squarely at the table and the aperitif hour.
The colour is pale straw with a fine, lively bead. The nose is fresh, with green apple, pear and white flowers over delicate citrus. The palate is light and harmonious, fruity freshness meeting a balanced acidity, the finish dry and moderately long. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a white wine glass. It works as an aperitif and pairs with antipasti, light starters, seafood, fish and bruschetta.
