Description
Bedin farms in the Asolo hills of the Veneto and bottles this wine under the Prosecco DOC Treviso, the sub-zone tied to the province around Treviso. It is made from Glera by the Charmat method, with the second fermentation in pressurised tank to keep the grape's fresh, floral aromatics intact. The Extra Dry dosage sits a little sweeter than Brut, giving a rounder, softer palate typical of the style.
The colour is pale straw with a fine, persistent bead. The nose offers green apple, pear and white peach, lifted by white flowers and honeysuckle. The palate is light bodied and gently off-dry, with orchard fruit balanced by fresh acidity and a clean finish. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a tulip glass as an aperitif, or with seafood, light salads and soft cheeses.
