Description
Bedin bottles this Brut under the Prosecco DOC Treviso, the sub-zone linked to the province around Treviso in the Veneto. It is made from Glera by the Charmat method, refermenting in pressurised tank so the grape's fresh, floral aromatics remain to the fore rather than developing autolytic weight. The Brut dosage keeps the wine dry and clean.
The colour is pale straw with a fine, persistent bead. The nose gives green apple, pear and white peach, framed by white flowers and a light almond note. The palate is crisp and light bodied, with fresh citrus acidity and a soft, dry finish. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a tulip glass as an aperitif, or with seafood, light salads and fresh cheeses.
