Description
This vintage-dated Prosecco comes from the Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG, the hill zone north of Treviso where Bedin farms. It is made from Glera by the Charmat method, with the second fermentation in pressurised tank to keep the floral and orchard-fruit character fresh. The dosage is set to Dry, a step sweeter than Brut, which rounds the palate and suits the riper fruit of a good vintage from the higher hillsides.
The colour is pale straw with green highlights and a fine, creamy bead. The nose is expressive, with ripe pear, white peach and apricot lifted by honeysuckle and white flowers. The palate is soft and gently off-dry, with orchard fruit balanced by fresh acidity through to a clean finish. Serve chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a tulip glass as an aperitif, or with lightly spiced dishes, white fish and creamy pasta.
