Sobieski 100% Pure Grain Vodka is a rye vodka with deep roots in Polish vodka culture, distilled here in Lithuania. Description
Sobieski draws on a long Polish vodka tradition and is built entirely on rye, the grain that gives vodka its characteristic dry, peppery cereal note rather than the rounder feel of wheat. The rye is fermented and distilled using established Polish methods that aim for a precise balance between softness and structure, then cut with pure water and bottled with nothing added. Keeping it a single-grain, additive-free spirit is the point here: it lets the rye character read clearly rather than masking it, which is why it reads as dry and faintly spiced rather than sweet.
The nose is subtle and clean, fresh rye over a crisp grain note. The palate is soft with a fine cereal structure and a light spice, finishing dry, balanced and pleasantly long. The dry rye backbone makes it a natural for a Moscow Mule: build it over ice with spicy ginger beer and a good squeeze of fresh lime in a copper mug, where the rye's pepper picks up the ginger heat and the lime keeps it crisp.
