Unkkoded Mediterranean Select is made in Spain by Alkkemist, distilled and bottled along the Spanish Mediterranean coast, which the brand credits for its character. The aim was to keep the clarity of a classic vodka while layering in a sense of place, so a clean cereal-based spirit carries fresh citrus and a gentle blend of herbs. At 40%, the body stays light and refreshing, letting those citrus and herbal notes sit on top of a soft, neutral base rather than fighting it.

The nose offers subtle citrus, Mediterranean herbs and a light cereal note, the palate is soft and refreshing with citrus, herbs and a faint grain sweetness, and the finish is long and clean with a herbal edge. Those built-in savoury notes make it a fine spine for a Bloody Mary: build it tall over ice with tomato juice, lemon, a pinch of celery salt and plenty of black pepper, and the vodka's own herb and citrus lift the spice instead of disappearing under it.
