Tsarskaya Charka Silver is distilled in Slovakia by the CARAT Distillery, using grain spirit and spring water from the Slovakian Carpathians. The name points to its calling card: filtration through silver, which the distillery uses to pull the spirit smooth and clean. It is a mild, balanced vodka made to slip down without any sharpness.
Description
Tsarskaya Charka Silver is produced in Slovakia at the CARAT Distillery from grain alcohol and pure spring water drawn from the Carpathian region. The grain base is distilled several times and then passed through silver filtration, a polishing step that helps strip remaining impurities and rough edges, leaving a notably even, soft spirit. The aim across the whole process is clarity and balance rather than bold character, a clean grain vodka with no harshness on the way down.
The nose is fresh and delicate with fine cereal and mineral notes, the palate is gentle and balanced with a slight sweetness and a touch of spice, and the finish is mild, smooth and long. Its quiet, well-mannered profile makes it a good fit for a Vesper: stir it with a smaller measure of gin and a dash of dry vermouth, strained into a chilled glass with a lemon twist, where the vodka softens the gin's edges and the whole drink stays clean and cold without anything dominating.
