Description
Gozio Amaretto is an Italian almond liqueur from the Franciacorta region, bottled at 24% and made in small batches from selected almonds. Production begins with the maceration of the almonds in alcohol to extract their flavour, after which the mixture is refined with natural ingredients, an artisanal approach that leans on real almonds for its character. The Franciacorta origin and the maceration of almonds are its signature.
The nose is sweet almonds with fine nutty notes, vanilla and subtle caramel, the palate creamy almond with balanced sweetness, a light bitter almond note, vanilla and caramel, finishing soft, round and long with nutty notes. Behind the bar it brings almond flavour, nutty body and sweetness, which carries an Amaretto Sour, turns a Scotch into a Godfather and rounds out coffee or a stirred whisky drink. It works enjoyed slightly chilled or over ice and as a classic digestif, and pairs well with tiramisu, panna cotta and almond pastries. Serve it chilled or over ice.
