Description
Poli Miele Liquore a Base di Grappa is a grappa based honey liqueur from Poli, the historic distillery in Schiavon, Veneto. The finest acacia honey is macerated in hand distilled grappa, a natural infusion that joins the aromatic depth of the grappa with the natural mildness of the honey. Bottled at 35%, it balances sweetness, flavour and freshness, with the grappa giving it more lift than a simple honey liqueur.
The nose is sweet and floral, with honey, herbs, mint and subtle citrus, while the palate is soft, sweet and harmonious around acacia honey, juniper, lemon verbena and a hint of pine resin, closing long, round and slightly spicy with a fine herbal freshness. In a glass it brings honeyed sweetness, soft body and a herbal grappa edge that keeps it from cloying, useful for warming and dessert serves. Pour it neat, slightly chilled or over ice as a digestif, alongside panna cotta, honey parfait, lemon tart or nut biscuits.
