Galliano Amaretto is an Italian almond liqueur from the Galliano house, the maker of the tall bottled vanilla and anise liqueur famous as the float in a Harvey Wallbanger, and is bottled at 28%. In the style of the category its almond character is built around the marzipan and stone fruit note typical of amaretto rather than tree nut alone, layered with vanilla and a hint of marzipan into a soft, harmonious liqueur. It carries the Galliano name into the amaretto category.

The nose is roasted almond with subtle vanilla and a hint of marzipan, the palate soft and full bodied with intense almond, a pleasant sweetness and subtle spice, finishing long and smooth with vanilla and a touch of caramel. Behind the bar it works as a nutty sweetener with real body, adding almond flavour and stone fruit depth to a drink. It carries the Amaretto Sour, lends an Italian edge to an espresso martini, and rounds out coffee or a stirred whisky serve. Pour it neat at room temperature, or reach for it as the almond note on a dessert menu.
