La Liqueur de Monin Passionsfrucht

La Liqueur de Monin Passionsfrucht is a passion fruit liqueur from Monin, the French house out of Bourges that supplies syrups and liqueurs to bars. It carries the intense flavour of passion fruit, also known as maracuja, at 16% in the 700ml bottle, the fruit built in the traditional macerated style with a balance of sweetness, fruit and a light acidity.

The nose is intensely fruity with the typical aroma of ripe passion fruit and a hint of citrus, the palate fresh and tropical with a clear, expressive passion fruit note and a slight acidity, the finish fruity and sweet with a tropical edge. In a drink it adds tart tropical fruit and a fresh acidity that balances sweeter builds, a natural fit for a Pornstar Martini, a Passion Fruit Mojito or a Tropical Spritz. A measure also turns prosecco or sparkling wine into a summer aperitif, and it flavours sorbets and creams.
