La Liqueur de Monin Menthe Verte

La Liqueur de Monin Menthe Verte is a green mint liqueur from Monin, the French syrup and liqueur house based in Bourges. It carries a bright green colour and a clear peppermint aroma at 20% in the 700ml bottle, the mint built on natural extracts in the traditional macerated style, with a herbal backbone of anise, wormwood, gentian and liquorice rounding it out.

The nose is fresh, cool and clear with a dominant peppermint note, the palate sweet and intensely minty with a cooling freshness and a hint of herbal spice, the finish long and cooling. Behind the bar it brings cold menthol freshness, sweetness and a vivid green colour, the classic role of a green crème de menthe in a Grasshopper, a Stinger or a Mint Martini. It also freshens a soda or lemonade build, and refines chocolate mousses and after dinner desserts in the kitchen.
