Description
Bottega is a family distillery in the Veneto, working grappa since Aldo Bottega introduced the first single varietal grappa and founded the distillery in 1977, now set in a restored 17th century farmhouse among its own vineyards. This cream liqueur recreates tiramisu, the dessert from nearby Treviso, blending coffee, cocoa and cream into a smooth emulsion at 17%.
The nose is sweet and intense with tiramisu and almond, the palate delicate and soft with intense tiramisu character, the finish long on the palate. Behind the bar it brings coffee, chocolate and dairy richness together in one pour, a ready made dessert flavour and body for a drink. It stirs into an Espresso Martini riff or a creamy coffee cocktail, layers into after dinner serves, and pairs with panna cotta, ice cream and other desserts. As a dairy liqueur, serve it chilled and keep it cool, using it within a few months of opening.
