Description
Bols Mango sits in the fruit liqueur range of Bols, the Amsterdam house that has been distilling and blending since 1575 using fruits, herbs and spices, and whose roughly forty flavours are a back bar staple. Mango is combined with sugar and a neutral distilled spirit into a sweet, fruit forward liqueur at 17%, made in the traditional macerated style that keeps the tropical character fresh.
The nose is tropical fruit, dried pineapple and citrus, the palate syrupy with ripe mango and fresh mango juice, the finish long with mango and citrus. Behind the bar it adds tropical sweetness, body and golden colour, an easy way to push a drink toward ripe stone and tropical fruit. It pours neat over ice, sweetens and flavours a daiquiri or margarita riff, and lengthens into tropical long drinks and punches. Pour it on the rocks or build it into colourful summer serves.
