Bols Peppermint Green Liqueur

Bols Peppermint Green is the green creme de menthe style liqueur in the Bols range, made by the Amsterdam house distilling and blending since 1575. Peppermint is carried on a neutral distilled spirit and sweetened into a clear, bright green liqueur at 24%, in the traditional style of a peppermint liqueur.

The nose is clean mint, the palate clean, fresh and intensely peppermint with a hint of bitterness, the finish long and minty. Behind the bar it adds a cooling menthol lift, sweetness and a vivid green colour, the classic note in a Grasshopper alongside creme de cacao and cream, and in a Stinger. It also makes a refreshing frappe over crushed ice or a long drink with ice cold soda water, and brings a cooling lift to mint forward modern serves. Serve it well chilled and reach for it when a drink wants fresh mint and green colour at once, where the tint is part of the look as much as the flavour.
