Description
Cascahuin Reposado is the entry tier rested tequila from the Rosales family distillery at El Arenal, in the Valles lowlands of Jalisco, a family house making tequila since 1904. It is a 100% Blue Weber agave reposado made in the house artesanal tradition, and it is additive-free, built to be a fresh, light and versatile take that carries a little of everything a reposado should.
Time in oak shows early: cooked agave on the nose with noticeable oak influence reading as nutmeg and allspice, alongside fruity lemon and pineapple. The palate opens on a slightly bitter oak note before sweeter vanilla, cinnamon, caramel and anise come through, and the finish runs long on oak and anise. The lowland agave keeps a savoury, herbal backbone under the wood. Bottled at 40%.
