Description
Cascahuín Tequila Blanco is a 100% Blue Weber blanco from NOM 1123, the Rosales family distillery at El Arenal in the Jalisco lowlands, where tequila has been made since 1904 across four generations. The blanco class shows the agave undisturbed by oak, and Cascahuín states this expression is made without additives, consistent with the house's wider additive-free standing. Batches are kept small, under 2,500 litres, with techniques varied to dial in each run.
The nose offers anise, agave, pepper and vanilla alongside floral, citrus and mint. On the palate it brings cooked agave, pepper, vanilla and bright floral citrus notes, with the dry, mineral, herbal character typical of lowland Jalisco. Bottled at 40% in a thick based, cork stoppered bottle, it sits comfortably beside the better known Tahona and higher proof versions in the range, a clean and assertive read of valley agave.
