Nikka Grand Age

Nikka Grand Age is a no age statement blended whisky from Nikka, combining malt from the Yoichi distillery in Hokkaido and the Miyagikyo distillery in Miyagi Prefecture with grain whisky from Nishinomiya. Bottled at 45% for the Japanese market in a 660ml format, it draws on Oloroso sherry cask maturation.

The Grand Age line represents a more formal, gift-oriented side of Nikka's blend portfolio. Oloroso sherry casks give the blend its characteristic dark-fruit and chocolate-led profile, adding a layer of dried fruit sweetness and a warming richness over the combined malt character of Yoichi and Miyagikyo. Nishinomiya grain contributes a smooth, creamy backbone that ties the components together, and the 45% bottling strength gives the final whisky the body to carry the sherry influence without losing definition.
