Chichibu Paris Edition 2020 Ichiro’s Malt (LMDW)

Released for the La Maison du Whisky annual Paris tasting event, the 2020 Paris Edition is a no age statement expression from Chichibu, Venture Whisky's Saitama distillery founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008. The Paris Edition series has become one of the most consistent annual showcases of Chichibu's single malt character, each year capturing a distinct moment in the distillery's young but rapidly maturing stocks.

The maturation rested entirely in Ex-Bourbon casks, which at Chichibu typically coax forward the vibrant orchard and tropical fruit character of the new make alongside vanilla, gentle cereal sweetness and light wood spice. Bottled at cask strength 52.8% without dilution, the whisky arrives with the energy and texture typical of young Chichibu at full proof, carrying the freshness that Ex-Bourbon maturation preserves well in the distillery's cool Saitama environment.
