Cask number 7492 is a 2017 vintage Chichibu single malt drawn from an Ex-Bourbon barrel, bottled in 2025 at 64.3% by La Maison du Whisky for the French market. Chichibu distillery in Saitama prefecture was founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto of Venture Whisky, and this release represents one of the most recent 2017 vintage expressions in the LMDW Chichibu series, arriving a full seven years after distillation.

Seven years in an Ex-Bourbon barrel gives the spirit a well-developed oak framework: vanilla, coconut and warm baking spice from the American wood, sitting around Chichibu's characteristically vibrant and fruit-forward new make.
