Description

Cask #4701 was distilled at Chichibu in Saitama in 2015 and bottled in 2023 at 63.3% by La Maison du Whisky for the French market after eight years in Ex-Bourbon wood. This is one of several single casks that La Maison du Whisky has selected from the 2015 Chichibu vintage for its French customers.

The eight-year Ex-Bourbon maturation gives this single cask the same broadly integrated character seen across the more mature 2015 releases from Chichibu: orchard fruit and vanilla are in comfortable equilibrium, the new make's natural brightness tempered but not eclipsed by American oak, and the finish is long and warming at 63.3%. La Maison du Whisky's curation points to a single cask that represents the house style with clarity.
