Description

Distilled at Chichibu in Saitama in 2011 and bottled after six years at cask strength, this unpeated expression was selected by La Maison du Whisky for the French market. Chichibu, founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008 under Venture Whisky, is celebrated for its vibrant fruit-forward new make and extensive cask programme across a modest annual volume.

The Ex-Bourbon maturation draws out vanilla and toasted grain, with the flavour profile noting a toasted character that reinforces the cereal and stone-fruit warmth typical of Chichibu's unpeated output. Bottled from a single cask at 58.6% without dilution, the spirit shows the brightness and mid-palate fruit that make these early vintage releases collectible.
