Mister Fogg Navy Rum, the second release, is a Planteray blend from Maison Ferrand assembled in the navy style and pulling rum from several countries. It is built for impact, with spice, young wood, citrus and caramel on the nose and a darker, smokier turn underneath.

Bottled at 55.7%, the palate shows dried fruit, barrel, smoke and citrus before a finish of bitter wood, burnt notes and allspice. Maison Ferrand works openly with dosage and added sugar is unstated here, so the rounded sweetness is best read as part of the blend rather than a dry navy expression.
