Description

Gordon & MacPhail, the Elgin house founded in 1895, has bottled Miltonduff as a single malt for generations. Mosstowie was the heavier malt Miltonduff made on its Lomond stills between 1964 and 1981, a separate spirit from the same Speyside distillery. This 15 Year Old is a Rare Highland Malt bottling for Italy.

Fifteen years in a bourbon cask matured Mosstowie's weightier make into richer territory, toffee and cooked fruit over an emerging waxiness.

At 40% it shows a glasshouse-green note, hay, honey, a husky note, a leafy lift and malt extract. A Mosstowie 15.
