Description
From Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection, this 35 Year Old is a 1979 vintage. Mosstowie was the heavier malt Miltonduff made on its Lomond stills between 1964 and 1981, a separate spirit from the same Speyside distillery. From ex-Bourbon cask 1357, an outturn of 176 bottles.
By thirty-five years Mosstowie's weightier make had become profound but delicate, old-library oak and waxy esters over fruit worn soft by the decades. A humid Speyside warehouse drew the strength down over the years.
At 49.1% it shows deep mature orchard fruit and vanilla, undiluted. A 1979 Mosstowie 35.
