Littlemill 25 Years Old 1977 Cask #1152 (Signatory)

Andrew Symington started Signatory Vintage in 1988, a hotel manager turned one of Scotland's busiest bottlers. This bottling is a 25 year old Littlemill, from cask 1152, laid down in 1977 and drawn off in 2003, part of the Vintage Collection - Dumpy series. What remains is all that ever will, the distillery long since lost.

Time in ex-Bourbon, twenty-five years of it, frames its delicate, honeyed spirit.

At its natural 49.4%, vanilla and a soft oak frame from the ex-Bourbon. A fragrant, fruity Littlemill, honeyed and silky. The American oak's low tannin let Littlemill's delicacy survive the years, contributing vanilla and a creamy lactone note. Decades in a damp Lowland warehouse cost roughly two percent a year, alcohol leaving faster than water, softening the strength and deepening the spirit.
