Littlemill 27 Years Old 1992 Cask #29 (Mancarella)

Mancarella is an independent bottler. Distilled in 1992, this 27 year old Littlemill, from cask 29 was bottled in 2019, from the Limited Edition range. Nothing new will ever come from Bowling, which makes survivors like this increasingly hard to find.

A bourbon barrel and twenty-seven years settle Littlemill's soft orchard-fruit spirit.

Bottled undiluted at 51.4%, the bourbon cask adds a soft vanilla frame. The profile runs to citrus, fresh fruit, honey, vanilla, a cooked-vegetable note, a hay-like note. Oak lactones and lignin-derived vanillin build the vanilla-and-coconut signature, the gentle American-oak tannins keeping it soft. Decades in a damp Lowland warehouse cost roughly two percent a year, alcohol leaving faster than water, softening the strength and deepening the spirit.
