Littlemill 21 Years Old 1991 Cask #LD 8259 (Douglas of Drumlanrig) Batch #1

Douglas of Drumlanrig releases single casks under the Laing family's eye. This 21 year old Littlemill, from cask LD 8259 was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2012. Nothing new will ever come from Bowling, which makes survivors like this increasingly hard to find.

It spent twenty-one years in ex-Bourbon, long enough to round Littlemill's gentle, grassy make.

At its natural 49.3%, vanilla and a gentle oak sweetness from the bourbon cask. A gentle, fruity Lowland malt, fragrant and clean. Wood sugars from the caramelised hemicellulose give a light toffee, while lignin yields the vanillin behind the vanilla.
