Littlemill 18 Years Old 1991 Cask #DL 6201 (Douglas Laing)

Douglas Laing has bottled single casks from its Glasgow base since Fred Laing founded the firm in 1948. Distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2010, this is an 18 year old Littlemill, from cask DL 6201, in The Old Malt Cask range. Littlemill can never be made again, so each cask emptied is one fewer forever.

At 50%, undiluted, the ex-Bourbon brings vanilla and a touch of coconut. Creamy fudge, honey and a floral lift on the close. The refill ex-Bourbon gives up vanillin and lactones slowly, framing the light spirit with vanilla and coconut rather than swamping it.
