Kilchoman Small Batch

This Small Batch is a Kilchoman vatted from red wine, ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks. An outturn of 2,520 bottles. Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.

Malting, distilling and bottling all happen on the farm, the barley to bottle way. Matured across red wine, ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks, the three woods layer dark fruit, vanilla and dried fruit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 48.7%. The red wine gives dark berry, the ex-Bourbon vanilla, the Oloroso dried fruit, while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to honey, citrus, smoke, vanilla, fresh oak and tobacco. A multi-cask small batch.
