Kilchoman Port Cask

This Port Cask release is an unusual pre-bottling sample of Kilchoman, drawn from ex-Bourbon at cask strength, the kind of cask sample usually held back. For Italy. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.

The distillery grows and malts barley on site and bottles on the farm. Drawn from ex-Bourbon wood, the cask frames the young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55%. The cask gives vanilla and citrus while peat phenols drive the smoke hard. A rare pre-bottling cask sample of the farm malt.
