Description

An Geamhradh 2022 is the winter release of Kilchoman's Uniquely Islay Series, an 8 year old from 2014 matured in ex-Bourbon with Sauternes, drawn from cask 1001. An outturn of 235 bottles for Germany. Founded by Anthony Wills in 2005 at Rockside Farm, Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay.

Every stage from malting to bottling happens at Rockside Farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon and Sauternes cask, the wine wood adds a honeyed note.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 56.8%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Sauternes honeyed apricot, while peat phenols carry the smoke. A winter single cask from the seasonal series.
