Description

An T-Earrach 2022 is the spring release of Kilchoman's Uniquely Islay Series, a 7 year old from 2014 drawn from ex-Bourbon cask 302. An outturn of 239 bottles for Germany. Anthony Wills founded Kilchoman in 2005; it is the only farm distillery on Islay.

Kilchoman handles malting through bottling on its own Islay farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over seven years, the wood frames the young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.3%. Citrus and vanilla rise from the ex-Bourbon cask while peat phenols bring the smoke. The recorded notes run to a coal-gas edge, fresh fruit, honey, leather, a mossy earthiness and fresh oak. A spring single cask from the seasonal series.
