This An Samhradh 2023 summer release of Kilchoman's Uniquely Islay Series is an 8 year old from 2014 matured in ex-Bourbon with Sauternes, drawn from cask 713. An outturn of 249 bottles for Germany. Kilchoman, the island's only farm distillery, was founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.

Kilchoman malts its barley on site and bottles on the farm, a barley to bottle approach rare in Scotch. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon and Sauternes cask, the wine wood adds a honeyed note.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 54%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Sauternes honeyed apricot, while peat phenols carry the smoke. A summer single cask from the seasonal series.
