Description

An Samhradh is the summer release of Kilchoman's Uniquely Islay Series, here a 7 year old from 2014 vatted from two ex-Bourbon casks. An outturn of 521 bottles for Germany. Anthony Wills founded Kilchoman in 2005; it is the only farm distillery on Islay.

Kilchoman handles malting through bottling on its own Islay farm. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks over seven years, the wood frames the young peated spirit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.5%. The ex-Bourbon lends vanilla and citrus, the peat phenols a layer of smoke. A summer release from the seasonal series.
